EDX Wireless, the leading provider of wireless network design software solutions, is proud to announce their 5G Design Module. The latest addition to SignalPro enables RF engineers to plan their 5G networks for any use case and spectrum. In working closely with the 3GPP standards and ITU-R /IMT-2020 use cases, EDX has created a robust 5G module that will fulfill the needs of any RF engineer.
EDX’s 5G Module supports all 5G use cases including: Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency (URLLC), Massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC), along with providing agnostic support for MIMO and Massive MIMO equipment. With the added ability to apply any FR1 or FR2 requirements for your spectrum, bandwidth, Subcarrier Spacing (SCS), the solution is indeed a complete design tool.
“The continuous traffic growth and service demands on existing systems have made it difficult for MNOs to handle demand while ensuring QoS and positive experience to the end user,” said Anoop Bowdery, Director of Product for EDX; “Our 5G solution is designed to ensure these new networks meet latency, spectral efficiency and data rate requirements while meeting budgetary parameters and helping our customers succeed in the next generation of wireless.”
EDX continues to expand their high-resolution data offering by making 10m Clutter Height Data available for all of the United States. This data will become necessary in 5G deployments to take into account the physical characteristics of service areas that will affect the performance of these high-frequency applications.
Users also have the ability to utilize EDX’s Cirrus Licensing with the 5G solution: Monthly, Prepaid Days and Perpetual Hybrid licensing provide flexibility whether you have a long-term need or are simply responding to RFPs.
