BDC Filings Feature Set ; EDX is pleased to announce the new BDC filings feature set. Enabling an all in one solution for your wireless broadband needs, from design, optimization to FCC submission. Catering for Mobile Broadband and Fixed Broadband Requirements

This Feature set includes,

Users can model the FCC defined requirements for submission within the parameter settings and use the coverage maps for submission.

Hata Propagation Model; The Hata model does not allow for Antenna height elevation greater than 200m. However we applied the Davison extension which allow for heights >300m. We have now allowed a setting for users that want to restrict to the Hata requirements of 200m. This will be done with a INI setting.

EDX Super User Mode ; Novus now contains a super user mode, in which the super user has the admin rights and is able to view, change, add and edit all other users permissions and can control project sharing. Adding a sophisticated layer of control for an organization

BUG FIXES / OTHER

Area Study Query – EiRP is always dBW: All the dialogues and associated reports have been corrected to provide the same units
5G Multipoint studies showing inconsistent uplink/downlink data ratio; This was not a bug but user settings for parameters that affect the noise and load on UL and DL. Users should ensure the settings correlate with expected load for optimal results
LTE Adaptive Modulation Uplink Data Rate Study issue; This was reported as a bug, the user was not able to view the per sector UL throughput. This is not a bug, but to view the individual sector results the “per sector” setting should be applied when running the studies to view per sector results.
Study Query issue; When running the study query user was getting errors, it was found this was due to a special character on the the sites. Once the special characters were allowed the issue was fixed
Issue with special characters in Site name; Site with special characters were not showing expected coverage results. The special characters are now allowed and the study runs as expected
Measurement Analysis pointing to incorrect Area Study; This was investigated and it was found that the “ label issues” the user reported was not the issue but the measurement analysis dialog was pointing to the incorrect area study, leading to the issue. This is now fixed
