SignalPro & Cirrus Platform (June 2022)

Jun 7, 2022

 NEW FEATURES / ENHANCEMENTS / UPDATES

  • LTE-PRO & 5G ; The latest new features added to the LTE-PRO and 5G modules are;
    • Frame Structure Grid Visualization
      • For each sector a frame structure will be provided, constructed from the user inputs for the cell. Based on data such as technology profile, channels, SSB offset etc
    • New Studies for 5G, SS-RSRQ & NR-RSSI
      • additions to the 5G study library for coverage analysis
    • Revised Interference Calculation
      • Accounting for bandwidth and frame structure
    • Updated how a few studies calculate noise. The following studies have been updated.
      • 5G Studies
        • Single Channel Downlink Throughput
        • Maximum Aggregated Downlink Throughput
        • Aggregated Carrier Count
      • LTE-PRO Studies
        • Single Channel Downlink Throughput
        • Maximum Aggregated Downlink Throughput
        • Aggregated Carrier Count
    • SSB Offset Input; This is the frequency offset between SSB and the whole resource block grid in number of subcarriers.

  • Addition to 5G & LTE Studies to the Cloud platform & Novus; As we continue to add more studies to the 5G and LTE-PRO module, the cloud engine is also updated with the latest studies. Allowing our users to run large studies in the cloud with the additional added metrics
  • Account details page; To allow users full control in the Novus application we have added a members page. This allows the company admin to add/delete/edit members with permissions. Also the ability to add groups with custom permissions
  • Refresh the set up when changes are made; Within the Mesh module we added a new feature that will allow the user to “refresh & rerun” when a new TX is added/moved/deleted or changed rather than return to setup and run again. This refresh process lets the user control which Routers are involved in donating or accepting meters when routers get moved, added or deleted.A user can set a radius and have it find the routers within the radial distance when refreshing the calculation.
  • Multiple tower/pole databases; In providing our customers a better workflow we added the ability to switch from towers to poles database. A new menu item has been added to the database menu and also in the auto-placement GUI
  • Fall 2020 & Spring 2021 Cirrus Data: This has been updated in Tile Selector with all found issues resolved. We updated the dataset with the last fall and spring data for USA and Canada

BUG FIXES / OTHER

  • Multipoint study failure; An error was given when running the multipoint studies with release in March, this is now resolved.
  • Study Sector Point Spacing in Sector Spreadsheet editor bug; It was reported that when using English units, the point spacing would not allow you to go low enough in the Sector Spreadsheet Editor, this has been resolved
  • Study Queries: Precise Circle/Rectangle cause program to crash; After creating a new precise circle/rectangle in the Query dialog, selecting “Close” in the dialog would cause the program to crash, this is now resolved

Notes;

  • Signal is now end of life, please contact sales for further information
