From Strategy to Execution: EDX Wireless Aligns for a Strong 2026

by | Jan 28, 2026

The start of a new year invites more than forward motion, it invites reflection. Before setting new goals or accelerating execution, it’s worth pausing to consider what the past year taught us, what it asked of us, and how those lessons shape the path ahead.

Fresh minds deserve both rest and recognition. Taking that pause allows us to acknowledge the effort, the learning, and the people behind the progress. It’s in these moments of reflection that clarity emerges and purpose is renewed.

2025 challenged us to be thoughtful, resilient, and honest with ourselves. As we step into 2026, those lessons guide how we move forward, with intention, trust, and a shared commitment to turning strategy into meaningful execution.

We kicked off 2026 with a company meet-up at our headquarters in Eugene, bringing teams together in person to reconnect, reflect, and align on the year ahead

EDX Wireless Team

There’s nothing quite like the energy of an entire team in one place. In January, EDX Wireless took over Eugene for our annual kickoff, bringing together our dedicated team members for a week of syncing up and looking ahead at 2026.

We spent our time tackling the big questions: How can we make a bigger impact for our customers? Where can we innovate faster? By bridging the gap between our remote teams through in-person working sessions (and some great local food), we’ve built the momentum we need for a successful 2026. We’re leaving Eugene more aligned than ever and ready to deliver the reliable, smart wireless solutions our partners count on.”

Americas

As we kick off 2026, the team at EDX Wireless wants to take a moment to look back at an incredible year for our customers and for our team members. In 2025 we saw 5G move from broad coverage to precision performance, and we witnessed the critical role of private networks in industries ranging from smart utilities to open-pit mining.

For our customers, 2025 was about accuracy and scale. Here’s how we tackled those challenges together.

2025 Highlights

Last year, we saw continued growth and partnerships with utility and public safety customers.  With AMI. 2.0, pLTE, and more, we focused our engineering efforts on the Gold Standard of reliability:

TSB-88 Monte Carlo Enhancements: We refined advanced Monte Carlo studies in SignalPro, allowing public safety and LMR planners to simulate dynamic signal fading with unprecedented accuracy.

The Rise of AMI 2.0 & Smart Grids: From the U.S. to South America, utilities leveraged EDX to deploy Smart Grid infrastructure. We introduced features like LTE-M data rate enhancements to ensure that mission-critical IoT devices remain connected under any conditions.

Satellite & Hybrid Integration: With the surge in Direct-to-Cell and NTN interest, our team is building for the future to enable customers to bridge the gap between terrestrial towers and the growing satellite constellations.

2026 and Beyond

Our Americas sales and support teams are ready to help you navigate the complexities of this new year. Whether you’re upgrading to the latest SignalPro features or exploring our Cirrus data or software subscriptions for collaborative design, we are here to ensure your success.

Would you like to schedule a 2026 Strategy Session with one of our engineers to see how our improved TSB-88 or Advanced Smart Grid features can optimize your upcoming projects?

From the International or as I like to call it the RoW (Rest of The World) team.

🇮🇳 India Expansion & Industry Recognition

The scale of smart meter deployment in India is currently unprecedented. By participating in major industry milestones like the ISGF (India Smart Utility Week) in Delhi and the DUM (Distribution Utility Meet) in Mumbai, EDX has positioned SignalPro at the center of the country’s grid modernization.

Strategic Tour: Following the November tour post-DUM, EDX is doubling down on specific Indian use cases where high-density planning is paramount.

ISGF 2026: Mark your calendars—the 12th edition of India Smart Utility Week is scheduled for March 10–14, 2026, in New Delhi. Meet us there.

2026 Focus: Enhanced In-Building (DAS) Module ‘high-density planning’

The “In-Building” or DAS (Distributed Antenna System) Module is receiving a significant overhaul for 2026. This is critical for cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi, where smart meters aren’t just at street level—they are stacked across dozens of floors across multiple buildings.

Multi-Story Modeling: The update allows for precise modeling of smart meters on every floor of a multi-story apartment complex.

Streamlined Creation: A major focus is on making the building creation process more intuitive, reducing the time required to “digitize” complex structures.

Unified Planning: This empowers customers to ensure signal penetration from the mesh gatekeepers outside all the way to a meter in a basement or a 30th-floor utility closet.

Future-Proofing with Intelligent Mesh design, AI & Cloud

EDX is also evolving how Intelligent Mesh Networks are designed by integrating AI and Cloud capabilities:

Automated Planning: New AI-driven modules will automate the “node-hopping” logic and site placement, reducing manual guesswork in mesh design.

Cloud Integration: By leveraging the cloud, customers can run massive, high-resolution simulations that would typically overwhelm local hardware, enabling city-wide mesh snapshots in a fraction of the time.

Note: The shift toward “Self-Healing” network modeling via AI is becoming the industry standard for AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) to ensure 99.9% data reliability, and planning is a key component to ensure that level of reliability……more to come!

As we move forward into 2026, one thing is clear: the strength of EDX Wireless lies not only in our technology, but in our people, our discipline, and our shared commitment to doing meaningful work the right way. The conversations, alignment, and energy that came out of this January set the tone for how we will operate throughout the year, with intention, accountability, and trust.

The industry around us continues to evolve rapidly, and the challenges our customers face are only growing in scale and complexity. Our role is not to chase trends, but to help our customers make confident, informed decisions that stand the test of time. That responsibility is one we take seriously.

2026 will be a year of focused execution. Of listening closely, building thoughtfully, and delivering with purpose. With a clear direction, strong collaboration across regions, and a deep respect for the work our customers do every day, we are ready for what’s ahead.

Thank you to our teams, partners, and customers for your trust and continued collaboration. We look forward to building the next chapter together.
