Eugene, OR. January 2, 2017 – EDX Wireless, the leading provider of wireless network design solutions announces the release of SignalPro v8.5. The latest wireless network design and optimization software from EDX contains many new features and upgrades that will streamline Mesh, in-building, IoT and 5G design and deployments.
Expanding on the automated features within SignalPro and the Mesh Network Module, the Mesh-Aware capacity planning feature allows users to determine the best network router locations based on mesh hopping, capacity constraints and terrain considerations. Furthermore, this feature set now allows users to include cost in network calculations – adding a vital component to system design by taking into account router cost and cost per meter served.
SignalPro v8.5 also includes automatic tuning for clutter pass through loss. This addition to the auto tuning features of SignalPro seamlessly configures predictive and measurement data by considering each land use type that may be present in a given path profile and tuning the propagation model accordingly. This feature is particularly useful in the design of short-range networks such as Mesh, IoT, LoRa and 5G and minimizes or eliminates the need for extensive field measurement operations.
EDX Cirrus, the high resolution data subscription service continues to expand and evolve. The 8.5 release also comes with new database options as well as new data display options within the software.
With a comprehensive design and analysis solution, EDX continues to be the industry’s leading provider of wireless network planning, deployment and optimization software.
EDX develops network design solutions that are the most widely used engineering software products for designing wireless communication networks, including; Smart Grid AMI, LTE, 5G, in-building DAS, Mobile/Cellular, wireless broadband, PTC, LMR and more.
